About Commerce Department

Department of Commerce is the one of the oldest departments in the college and is also one of the most popular streams among the students. At present the department of commerce comprises of more than a thousand students. Commerce is a highly dynamic, continuously expanding and invigorating field of study. Trade and commerce is as old as the oldest civilizations, and is a very integral part of any nation. The degree course for Bachelor of commerce deals with a thorough and vigorous study of various aspects of this subject such as taxation, finance, economics, accounting, statistics, management, business law, money and banking. The most attractive feature of this field of study is that it opens the door to a plethora of career opportunities. It acts as a stepping stone for other professional courses such as C. A, C. S, ICWA, management etc. In addition to that commerce also helps in creating young entrepreneurs.
