The college library is an important hub of campus life. Here, you can check out books, conduct your research, find a quiet place to study, and may be even flip through a magazine. What’s more, today’s college libraries extend their reach out into the Internet, making many services and resources accessible right from their library. But how are students using this great wealth? To better understand college students’ study habits, we wanted to explore how, and why, they use their college’s library.

Rules Regarding Issue of Books From The Library
  • Books applied for, will be issued during working hours on week days as specified for each class.
  • Students are expected to use books with care. They will be responsible for mishandling the books.
  • Students who fail to return the books on the prescribed date, will have to pay a fine at the rate of 50 Paise per day.
  • Loss of library books should be immediately reported to the librarian and the value of the books will be collected from the students concerned along with the fines for delay returned.
Rules and regulation of reading room :
  • Possession of valid picture I.D. card by the user is essential.
  • Users of the reading room are responsible for leaving the room in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Room shall remain unlocked during use.
  • Users must maintain a quiet, study-like atmosphere.
  • Food, tobacco products and alcohol are not permitted in the reading room.
  • Cell phone use is not permitted.
  • Strict decorum and discipline must be maintained in the library.
  • Books/magazines taken out of the shelves must be left on the table.
  • Anyone who violates the rules and regulations of the reading room may be debarred from using the reading room facility.
  • Suggestion on all aspects of reading room services are welcome.
